Privacy Policy

CutMatch ("we", "our", "us") helps you find the haircut that fits your face. This policy explains what we collect when you use the CutMatch iOS app, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.

1. What we collect

• Your photo. The selfie you take or upload so we can scan your face and hair and show you haircut previews.
• Your answers. Quiz answers you give in the app (for example age range, hair type, hairline, styling time, the look you want). They are stored on your phone and sent with your scan so recommendations fit you.
• Scan results and generated looks. The AI's written analysis of your photo and the haircut preview images made from it.
• Stylist chat messages you send to the in-app AI stylist.
• An anonymous account ID created automatically (no email, name or password).
• Purchase status (which plan or pack you bought) from Apple via RevenueCat. We never see your payment card or Apple ID password.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts or location, and we do not create face-recognition templates or try to identify who you are. The scan only describes visible features that matter for a haircut (face shape, forehead, hairline, jaw, current hair).

2. How we use it

• To scan your photo and rank haircuts for your face.
• To generate previews of haircuts on your own photo.
• To answer your questions in the stylist chat using your scan.
• To unlock what you paid for.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use your photos to train AI models.

3. Who processes your data

• Supabase — our backend: stores your uploaded photo and generated looks in private storage (only reachable through short-lived signed links) and runs our server functions.
• Anthropic (Claude) — analyzes your photo for the scan, checks generated looks, and powers the stylist chat.
• kie.ai, running Google's Nano Banana / Gemini models — generates the haircut previews from your photo, and is a backup for analysis.
• RevenueCat and Apple — purchases and subscriptions.

Each provider processes data only to deliver its part of the service and under its own privacy terms.

4. How long we keep it

• Your selfies are automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after upload.
• Generated looks are kept so you can see them in the app, until you delete your data.
• Quiz answers and your scan are stored on your phone and removed when you delete your data or the app.

5. Delete your data

In the app go to Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data. This deletes your photos, scans and generated looks on your phone and on our servers right away. You can also email us and we will delete everything within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, UK or California) you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to its processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. EU/EEA users may also complain to their local data protection authority.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Photos and looks are stored in private storage, not public links.

8. Children

CutMatch is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the app, email us and we will delete the data.

We will post any changes here and update the date above.
